Kidd 1334 by Thursday's Children: You'll Never Be My Girl b/w Try Girl. Consult the G100 website for the lowdown on this ultra rare first pressing. Supposedly there is one known copy. Here is a second copy, up for sale.  Most serious collectors have this on the Paradise label, but are unaware that the Paradise is a second pressing. This true first pressing was apparently done by the groups manager, in a very tiny run, 50? To promote himself? Besides naming the label after himself, his name also appears as producer: A Carrot Kidd production is on both sides at 3 o'clock, plus there is an inkstamp plugging his name on the B side: He couldn't have done it for the money; how much could one make on 50 pressings? Or 100? Couldn't have been many of these Kidd releases pressed, or the collecting community would have discovered more than one copy by now.  A side label is clean like new, unmarked, with very a tiny bits of narrow ringwear line at 4 o'clock and 8 o'clock. Flip label has the promoters inkstamp, and a tiny center hole chip at 11:30 o'clock. The vinyl is beautiful on the both sides. Very little play. A side grades a solid M-. B side grades a very solid VG++. B side has 2 light pressing bumps in the last 2/3rds of the vinyl. Not affecting play. There is a tiny label chip pressed into the wax at the very end of the B side. It thumps on the very last 3 grooves after the fadeout starts. Very minor defect. After the fadeout starts!  Those of you who have this on Paradise will hear it in a different and superior way, as you watch that crazy lavender Kidd label (with the mysterious alphabetical equation under the logo) spin out this garage madness on your home turntable.
