Description
UK Test pressing for Barclay James Harvest XII in proof artwork together with extensive press kit, additional photos + promo postcard.
Test pressing with large '1' and '2' on the labels together with handwritten details. It is contained in a plain inner sleeve inside proof artwork, i.e. a simply folded and unglued sleeve.
The press kit is extensive and comes in an outer folder containing;
general introduction (2 pages) Details of the new album (2 pages) Photo biographies of band members (4 pages) Band biography covering the first 12 years (4 pages) Details of the 1978 tour of UK and Europe (4 pages) Discography (4 pages) Details of press photos available (4 pages) Breakdown of the band's instruments for concerts and recording together with PA system details. (4 pages) A 10 x 8 black and white composite photo of the 4 band members
Also there is an additional four 8 x 6 black and white individual photos of the band members A promo postcard with a picture of the band on the front and a discography on the back.
The press kit is as near to mint as you can get and has been stored in the original record company mailing envelope from 1978 (also supplied). The additional photos and postcard are both mint. The test pressing has a couple of spindle marks on the labels showing that it has been played but I suspect it was only once and the surface is still very shiny with no visible marks on the playing surface. The proof sleeve has a few minor creases.
Overall a very nice set.
I will post to a destination outside Europe but shipping will be more.
