Test Pressing – Mercury AMS 16130 – BYRON JANIS / KONDRASHIN – RACHMANINOV

Single-sided stereo test pressing on handwritten white label Mercury Living Presence catalogue number AMS 16130.   PLEASE NOTE: There is one single-sided disc only of the Rachmaninov Piano Concerto No.1; there is no disc of the Prokofiev Piano Concerto No.3.  Byron Janis (piano), Kyril Kondrashin conducting Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra – see photo of commercial sleeve for 1962 recording details.
Disc is clean and shiny but produces about 12 noticeable ticks.  Sleeve has corner/edge wear/creasing.
N.B.  This item is from the personal collection of a gentleman closely involved in the UK classical music business during the 1950s, 1960s & 1970s.
