Description
Up for auction/sale is a beautiful, highly collectible original 1979 first pressing of Terry Allen’s legendary art-country masterpiece, Lubbock (On Everything). Widely considered a foundational milestone of alternative country, finding clean, well-preserved original copies of this US Fate Records release in the UK is increasingly rare. CONDITION ASSESSMENT:
- Vinyl (Sides 1, 2, 3 & 4): Very Good Plus (VG+) / Excellent (EX)
The vinyl discs retain a stunning, mirror-like glossy black sheen. Under close visual inspection, the grooves look incredibly clean with no deep scratches, structural gashes, or nasty scuffs. The center labels are pristine and bright green with no spindle wear or writing around the center holes. It has clearly been handled with absolute care. - Gatefold Sleeve: Very Good (VG)
The original white gatefold jacket is structurally solid and intact with completely legible spine text. It shows some normal, honest age-related shelf wear, light ring wear, and minor discoloration/spotting on the white background as expected for a matte sleeve from 1979. No major splits or tears. - Inner Sleeves: Very Good (VG)
Includes the original white paper inner dust sleeves. They show natural yellowing and slight wrinkling along the top edges due to age, but remain completely functional.
