Description

An original 1st mono press of SH on the UK Deram label from 1968. Matrix 1A/1A - 1st cut. Stampers 1I/1B - placing this copy amongst the first few thousand copies to roll off the press. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original gatefold cover. We have included a Decca poly-lined inner from around this time [it is NOT the actual precise inner that this LP would have been found in].
Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) In lovely condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection I could only make out a couple of light marks per side, one semi feelable one on side 1 - but nothing that seems to interfere much at all with the audio. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with superb clarity. By and large a very nice clean player and there's little to find fault with. Interference is both minor and infrequent. All I could detect was the faintest touch of static occasionally in 'Going To Try'. Nothing persistent or even vaguely intrusive. Other than that expect nothing more than a few crackles in a couple of isolated moments. A super rendition of this TEN YEARS classic..
Cover (Ex) In great shape and has clearly been looked after down the years. Lovely clean and uncreased front and back. The interior looks great too with nothing worse than very lightest handling. Edge wear is light and the openings are still sharpish. The spine is pretty much entirely intact with all text still legible. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Ex-) Light ageing and no splits.
