Description
The Temple of the Dog vinyl LP original US first press from 1991 is a rare and sought-after collectible in the music industry. This album, produced by Rick Parashar, features a blend of guitars, piano, harmonica, keyboard, percussion, electric guitar, banjo, voice, and drums, making it a must-have for fans of grunge music. With a sleek black vinyl record in near mint condition and an excellent paper sleeve, this LP is a valuable addition to any vinyl collection, especially for those who appreciate the 1990s era sound.
I purchased this LP from a seller who stated that he only played it twice, once when purchased it new at which time he recorded it on a cassette, and the second time before he shipped it to me after my purchase.
When I received it, I found two surface scratches across the grooves, one on Times of Trouble and one on Wooden Jesus. I played the LP two times loudly, and related to the two surface scratches, I only hear four clicks with the last four revolutions at the end of Wooden Jesus. (See my last photo)
I notified the seller who said he didn't see the scratches and agreed to accept a return and refund. Since I had looked for this LP in Mint condition for a long time, and thought maybe I would never find one this close to Mint, I reluctantly decided to keep it.
Fast forward a few months later, I found a copy that was never played and never removed from its sleeve from a seller near Seattle!
Since finding this copy in Mint condition, plus already owning a gold stamped Promo copy plus a Promo copy of the singles, I decided to sell this LP due to it now being impossible to return it to the seller.
