Description

Red label with silver ring around the edge, deep groove, original issue.  There appears to be the "ear" inscribed in the dead wax.  The Teddy Charles Quartet with Charles, vibes; Jimmy Raney, guitar; Dick Nivison, bass; Ed Shaughnessy, drums.  4 tracks.  Recorded in 1952.

Cover:  VG+   Intact and clean.  Light aging on the back cover, lighter on the front cover.  On the back cover there is a slightly darker edging.

Record:  VG++ to Mint(-)  Visually shows no wear.  Possibly played only a few times with care. No markings on the vinyl surface. On Side A, Track1, 2 clicks near the beginning and 2 revolutions of of faint groove noise.  Track 2 has several revolutions of faint groove noise.  This is barely audible. Slightly more audible on the last revolution.  Side B, Track 1 has  light groove noise for 2 or 3 revolutions. Several revolutions on this track have intermittent very light noise, barely audible. Track 2 has 1 click at the end of the Track. The overall quality is above average for early Prestige L.P. recordings. Audibly checked.
