Description

On sale here are 9 x 33 rpm vinyl LP records, all relating to the electronic group Tangerine Dream.

8 of the LP's are by Tangerine Dream and 1 of the LP's is a solo collection from band member, Edgar Froese.

The LP's are as follows:

"Rubycon"

"Stratosfear"

"Zeit"

"Thief"

"Exit"

"White Eagle"

"Flashpoint"

"Poland"

"Edgar Froese - Solo 1974-1979".

They are being sold as a job lot for one price.

I have provided some specific detail further along about the condition of each individual release, but the following statements are true for all:

*All records have been professionally cleaned and are free of dirt and fingerprints.

*All records have been play tested in full. All of them play very well with strong, clear audio and with no pops or jumps. There are a few minor clicks on Side 1 Track 3 of the "Flashpoint" album, but these do not affect play and soon pass. That is the only issue of note.

*None of the records are warped.

*None of the records have been written on in pen (sleeves or labels) though there are some pen impressions on the inside portion of the "Zeit" album (see further down for specific details).

*All of the records have strong, intact sleeves and their original liner bags (also strong and intact).

*All of the records are now housed in brand new, clear poly sleeves to preserve the condition of the sleeves.

These LP's, however, have been in long term storage. They have been packed away for decades. As such, there is a feint musty aroma to the sleeves, but this is not overwhelming. Given time and if stored in a warm, clean environment, this should fade.

Some of the earlier Tangerine Dream LP's are reissues dating from the 1980's. To help identify which pressings these are, I have uploaded photographs and scans of each and every record here. These include the sleeves (front, back and inner), liner bags as well as label scans (all sides). This will also provide valuable additional information to collectors, such as track listings, catalogue numbers, country of issue etc. I have not used a single generic image here. Each and every image is of the items on sale here. Therefore, you can be confident that what you see here is what you will receive.

Here are the details relating to the condition of each LP:

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

TITLE: Rubycon

CONDITION OF GATEFOLD SLEEVE (VISUAL GRADING): Very Good / Very Good Minus. There are a couple of light brown coloured stains on the front cover, top left. Otherwise, it is a strong, sturdy gatefold cover. If angled to the light, some mild scuffing is evident, but the artwork has not been upset. Some very minor ring wear on the rear. Inner section is Excellent. Spine is strong and legible.

CONDITION OF LINER BAG (VISUAL GRADING): Excellent Minus.

CONDITION OF LABELS (VISUAL GRADING): Excellent.

CONDITION OF VINYL (VISUAL GRADING): Excellent Minus.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

TITLE: Stratosfear

CONDITION OF GATEFOLD SLEEVE (VISUAL GRADING): Excellent Plus / Mint Minus. Gorgeous glossy cover with only very minor evidence of use. Strong spine.

CONDITION OF LINER BAG (VISUAL GRADING): Excellent Plus.

CONDITION OF LABELS (VISUAL GRADING): Excellent.

CONDITION OF VINYL (VISUAL GRADING): Excellent Minus.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

TITLE: Zeit (Double Album)

CONDITION OF GATEFOLD SLEEVE (VISUAL GRADING): Very Good Plus / Excellent Minus. Really nice sturdy gatefold sleeve with some light superficial markings on the rear. If you look at the picture of the front sleeve, top right, there is a rectangular shape. I initially thought this was fading from where a price sticker had been, but it isn't. Checking images on the collector site "Discogs", it appears that when this LP was first issued, it had the original record label logo displayed there (the logo read "Ohr"). This later pressing (on Virgin) rather clumsily blocked out that text, which explains the shape that you can see. All of these later pressings look like this. One other thing to note - a previous owner once made a cassette tape of this album. When doing so, they wrote the track listing on the cassette's index card whilst leaning on the inside portion of the album. How do I know this? If you angle the inside (right hand) cover to the light and over-scrutinise it, you can see the feint impressions of this left on the sleeve. The pressure transferred an inscription of the track listing onto the inside sleeve. When viewed normally, you can't see this at all. If you angle it to the light and look for it - there it is. This is not unattractive and is invisible when viewed normally.

CONDITION OF LINER BAG(S) (VISUAL GRADING): Excellent Minus.

CONDITION OF LABELS (VISUAL GRADING): Excellent.

CONDITION OF VINYL(S) (VISUAL GRADING): Very Good Plus / Excellent Minus.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

TITLE: Thief

CONDITION OF SLEEVE (VISUAL GRADING): Very Good Plus. Crease on rear (top right) and some light markings (also on the rear). On the top right of the front cover, there is some barely discernable mis-colouring, showing where a circular price sticker once sat. This has caused no damage to the cover and is incredibly hard to spot, unless you specifically seek it out and overscrutinise the sleeve, by angling it to the light. It has the appearance of the artwork's colouring being slightly 'different' in that particular area, when compared to the area outside of it.

CONDITION OF LINER BAG (VISUAL GRADING): Mint minus.

CONDITION OF LABELS (VISUAL GRADING): Excellent.

CONDITION OF VINYL (VISUAL GRADING): Excellent.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

TITLE: Exit

CONDITION OF SLEEVE (VISUAL GRADING): Very Good Plus. Nice glossy sleeve which has some markings / evidence of use, if angled to the light. Some minor edge wear.

CONDITION OF LINER BAG (VISUAL GRADING): Mint Minus.

CONDITION OF LABELS (VISUAL GRADING): Excellent Plus / Mint Minus.

CONDITION OF VINYL (VISUAL GRADING): Excellent Plus.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

TITLE: White Eagle

CONDITION OF SLEEVE (VISUAL GRADING): Very Good Minus. Some corner creasing and impressions / light markings to the sleeve, indicating use. Some edge wear is apparent.

CONDITION OF LINER BAG (VISUAL GRADING): Excellent Plus / Mint Minus.

CONDITION OF LABELS (VISUAL GRADING): Excellent Plus / Mint Minus.

CONDITION OF VINYL (VISUAL GRADING): Excellent Minus.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

TITLE: Flashpoint

CONDITION OF SLEEVE (VISUAL GRADING: Excellent overall. This sleeve once had a price sticker ("Our Price - £5.99") stuck three quarters of the way down the cover. I soaked this in sticker removing fluid and it came off clean. However, because the sticker had been in situ for decades, a very subtle brown stain (caused by the glue / oil on the sticker) remains on the sleeve. This does not look unattractive at all. However, if this is an issue to you, I have enclosed the original price sticker (in a sealed bag) which could easily be re-attached by using glue. I will leave that up to you to decide if it's worth doing or not. This price sticker came off clean and without issue.

CONDITION OF LINER BAG (VISUAL GRADING): Excellent Minus. Some minor browning to the edge.

CONDITION OF LABELS (VISUAL GRADING): Excellent Plus / Mint Minus.

CONDITION OF VINYL (VISUAL GRADING): Excellent Plus.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

TITLE: Poland (Double Album)

CONDITION OF GATEFOLD SLEEVE (VISUAL GRADING): The outer faces are Excellent. A really nice, sturdy cover. However, the inside has some light "age spotting" inside (light brown markings). I would therefore grade the interior as "Very Good Minus", which is a shame, because it's such a nice cover otherwise.

CONDITION OF LINER BAG(S) (VISUAL GRADING): Excellent. There are two liner bags containing images of the live show / band and some text.

CONDITION OF LABELS (VISUAL GRADING): Mint Minus.

CONDITION OF VINYL(S) (VISUAL GRADING): Excellent.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

TITLE: Edgar Froese Solo 1974-1979

CONDITION OF SLEEVE (VISUAL GRADING): Very Good Plus. Attractive sleeve with some evidence of edge stress and some superficial markings. The sleeve has two original stickers still intact. On the front (top right) is the original "Special Low Price - Virgin" sticker, and on the rear a small circular "Oved 69" sticker has been placed over the Virgin logo (at the bottom of the sleeve). These stickers have been in situ since this album was originally issued. I decided to leave these in situ.

CONDITION OF LINER BAG (VISUAL GRADING): Very Good Plus / Excellent Minus.

CONDITION OF LABELS (VISUAL GRADING): Excellent.

CONDITION OF VINYL (VISUAL GRADING): Excellent Plus / Mint Minus.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
