Description

An original 1st press on UK Fly from early in the charting period. Matrix 2/2 - very 1st cut. So, how do we establish very 1st pressing?...check out thd track JEEPSTER...almost immediately at 1st release they had to change publishing credits. ALL later copies carry an Asterisk and alternative publishing. Not here! Well worth going for these early copies - they will sound GREAT...thus is the original Porky cut on heavy vinyl...so what of the cover? Well, 1st issues were printed by EJ Day....quite apart from being the 1st they are FAR superior to Garrod later flimsy card examples...night and day difference. Orignal inner present too. NO poster.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) In lovely condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection I could only make out a couple slight marks - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an at least EXCELLENT level of playback with one slight deviation. Intros and inbetweens are lovely and quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. A clean player throughout - not much background really. Fantastic depth in the mix. Unfortunately many copies just will not manage that. Hardly any background. The only vague thing I picked up was a bit of light presence briefly IN ONE of the fussier track. Nothing unpalatable really - I am just mentioning in case you uber sensitive to that sort of thing.  Would be more than acceptable to most folks. That's my only very minor quibble. A truly well preserved original and hard to find 1st press. Really nice.
Cover (Ex/Ex-) Difficult to find like this. The EW cover is a total pain to find in great condition. Very smart clean surfaces with a couple of minor creases on the rear...Not much edge wear and sharp openings. Text fully legible. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity. Superb!
Innner (Ex-) No splirs light ageing.
