Up for auction are the following items pertaining to the acclaimed non-fiction novel, In Cold Blood by Truman Capote:
Record album, Truman Capote Reads Scenes from In Cold Blood: A True Account of a Multiple Murder and Its Consequences. RCA, 1966. Mono. Includes transcript sheet. Original RCA red label in original sleeve. Record is in excellent condition, sleeve is in very nice shape with minor rubbing. Overall, a nice and rather uncommon album.
Life Magazine, 1967. Complete Issue. Includes a cover photograph of Truman Capote standing between Robert Blake and Scott Wilson the two actors who portray the killers in the 1967 Richard Brooks film based on the book. This issue also includes photographs and information about the production. Very good plus condition.
Book, In Cold Blood. Hardcover, fifteenth printing. NY: Random House, circa 1989. Replicates the 1965 first edition – this late-1980s edition includes the same book and jacket design. Excellent condition with previous owner’s name/date on the front flyleaf and clipped dust jacket.
