TRIPSICHORD a/k/a Tripsichord Music Box (Janus JLS 3016)

• Condition : Cover is EX, front and back are almost NM, however top seam is neatly split about 3" at right, and top seam is worn at left about 3" (you could tape this, but it doesn't show from the front so I'm leaving as it is). Vinyl is NM, one or two very faint scuffs away from stone mint.
• Description : Rare 1971 white label DJ issue of monster late S.F. Sound psychedelic rarity. I know that various guides have stated that WLP's do not exist for this album. They are incorrect. The old Euro '80s repro used a black and white reproduction of a stock tan label which may have caused some confusion amongst collectors (that RE had thin vinyl and cover as well as a green wax version). This copy has the usual thick cover and vinyl of a 1971 US pressing. Janus issued this LP with three basic label variations, AND those variations all exist as both stock and (white, beige or tan) promo labels, AND Janus used multiple regional pressing plants which led to further minor variations. I have personally seen at least SIX distinct label variations on original Janus pressings of this LP (I'm not even counting the pre-Janus demo press). Briefly, Janus used three basic label designs on this label: Beige label w/ gold logo (the label variation you most often see on early pressings of Harvey Mandel and Blonde On Blonde albums), tan label without "SF Sound" logo, and tan label with "SF Sound" logo. This particular example is a WLP version of the tan label with "SF" logo. The beige & tan labels also exist both with and without promo wording. Anyway, trainspotting collector stuff aside, this is a fantastic LP, a nice WLP copy here and the reserve is $300. The original band name "Tripsichord Music Box" only appears on the spine of the LP cover.

Sorry, I do not guarantee "musical content". If you are going to bid high on an unfamiliar album, consider first checking out the sounds online or via a reissue, etc in order to avoid potential disappointments. You cannot return a record simply because you don't like the music.
• Records are shipped in a cardboard record mailer with sufficient padding, and the disc is removed from the jacket to prevent seamsplits.

If you are looking for a specific song, inquire with the name of the song, I'll check ASAP to see if it's on the LP and reply promptly, but I don't have time to type out the names of every track, sorry to say. Also, sorry but requests from underbidders along the lines of "I didn't win, could you A) dub the record to CD for me B) ask the high bidder to dub the record to CD for me or C) give me the winner's email so I can ask" are ignored due to legal and privacy concerns.

OVERSEAS: the cheaper shipping option on your invoice (First Class Mail International) does not include insurance or tracking. With FCMI service, Registered Mail (includes tracking number and requires your signature upon delivery) is available for $10.80 extra per parcel; if you want Registered Mail added to your FCMI parcel, ask. The higher price option on your invoice (Priority Mail International) includes a tracking number and, to most countries, around $80 in insurance coverage, as part of the shipping cost. However, Registered Mail service is not available with Priority Mail International service.
