The lightest signs of wear and minute amount of creasing on the sleeve. Spine in outstanding condition. On first glance sleeve looks untouched. EX

Vinyl shows only the lightest of surface marks, plays perfectly and sounds beautiful. EX

About This Sale

I am selling some gems from my father’s huge vinyl collection as he has decided to sell most of it after around 60 years of collecting. It’s important to us that these amazing records go to a good home and that the people that buy them are happy with their purchase, as such I’ve been as accurate as I can in the description and photographs, and have used the Record Collector Grading System(see below) to honestly grade each album. In the case of Buy It Now listings, we’ve set the price based on research of sales from dealers, plus sales oneBay, Amazon and Discogs. We’ve then taken a little off the price to be competitive!

I have scoured the internet for the best LP mailers I could find and settled on the CLP Bukwrap mailers which are described as ‘indestructible vinyl record mailers’, so each item will be packed in these with the record between the paper sleeve and the cover inside an enclosing heavy duty plastic wallet as per best mailing practice. These particular mailers can take up to 6 albums, so bulk postage discount is available for more than one purchase. Please message me for details on this.

Due to the majority of the records I’m selling being quite rare, I’ll only send tracked and signed delivery to ensure your purchase gets to you safely and on time, and so that we’re both covered in the unlikely event of loss/damage.

Mint (M)

The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet. booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records marked as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

Excellent (EX)

The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

Very Good (VG)

The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects is acceptable

Good (G)

The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc

Fair (F)

The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

Poor (P)

The record will not play properly due to scratched, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing

Bad (B)

The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler
