A difficult band to categorize - quite Space Rock in style, but with an energetic Punky edge.
Prog Punk, anyone?

North London based TREATMENT originally derived from the UK punk movement and evolved to a psychedelic/space rock band. When it all started Adam Blake (guitar), Clive Leach (bass) and Gordon Leach (guitar) were Grammar School boys influenced by punk bands but also Arthur Brown's Kingdom Come as one example. TREATMENT was ultimately born in 1979 when gathering Graham Cronin (drums) and Paul McWhinnie (keyboards).

Free rehearsals and several gigs established the band's identity through 1979/80 and the first studio songs emerged at that time. Then early in 1981 drummer Cronin left the band and was replaced by Paul Ross. The stable line-up for the 80/90s was now complete. Soon the first self-released single production 'Stamp Out Mutants / Doncha Know' saw the light of day. Including painted faces as one trademark the band intensively worked on the reputation as a demanded live band (f.e. Stonehenge 80 - 85), sometimes supported by Nik Turner and vocalist Emma Blake. Several cassettes were released during this time.

Another single 'Feeling Like A Ghost / Rowing Boat' followed in 1987 and a full vinyl album came out in 1989 (Number! Records) consisting of live recordings - all sought after collectors items today. They have also made contributions to various compilations over the course. It took another four years until an official studio production could be announced by Delerium Records. The highly recommended 'Cipher Caput' (1993) was the first album to be recorded with Ambisonic sound technology which is similar to Quadraphonic but didn't become popular finally.

A second album entitled 'How Much Is Enough' was recorded, but the demise of Delerium Records in the early 2000's caused problems. TREATMENT's music is a mixed bag - influenced by Hawkwind, Gong, Soft Machine, Pink Floyd, Ozric Tentacles to name a few. Psych/space with a tinge of anarchy, based around freaky experimental sounds, some punk leftovers and powerful forward-moving songs.

We offer combined shipping on all LPs / 12" Vinyls: our shipping rates are listed above. HOWEVER shipping packages that weigh more than 2kg is VERY expensive. Therefore we can only offer combined shipping up to a maximum of SIX (6) LPs / 12" vinyls. Any extra purchases will be invoiced, packaged and shipped separately.

***Due to the physical logistics of how I can package orders, I will not combine box sets with other items, I will only package them individually***

COMBINED POSTAGE FOR DIFFERENT FORMATS will be invoiced at my discretion:

While I am happy to combine (for example) one or two 7” singles into one package with 12” records, sometimes it simply isn’t practical (like if you want me to combine one 12” record with three or more 7” records). I simply do not think that these combinations can be packaged together safely and securely. Therefore these will be invoiced separately as two packages.

PAYMENT

I would appreciate payment within seven days of the auction’s end. If you want to bid on more of my auctions ending a week later please inform me. I will wait and issue a combined invoice at the close of the second week’s auctions.

However, I am no longer willing to carry combined transactions beyond two weeks and in these cases would appreciate payment promptly after the close of the second week’s auctions.

I am sorry to have to introduce these measures – I always try to be patient and allow buyers to bid on extra auctions and / or delay payment. Unfortunately some buyers have been stretching out transactions to unacceptable lengths so I feel I have no option but to limit ‘carried over’ transactions to two weeks.
