This is an excellent, well-looked after first pressing copy of the VERY RARE progressive classic by Tramline, an album which is very difficult to find for sale in any condition. The heavyweight 1969 Island vinyl plays without skips, sticks or pops, very little background noise of any significance, and quiet run-ins and outs. NOTE this album is NOT in its original cover, but housed in an exact facsimile copy of the original sleeve. 
VINYL: Retains a high shiny gloss finish. There are a few light paper marks visible under strong light but nothing serious, and nothing which interferes with the audio which is still rich and clear. There is very little background noise anywhere.  SIDE ONE: EXCELLENT. No sticks clicks or pops, no background noise on runs-ins or between tracks. SIDE TWO: EXCELLENT. A couple of very light pops on track two, but very brief and hardly noticeable. Little or no background noise.   LABELS: Original pink Island "bullseye" labels. Side One has a club stamp across the "Island" logo, but is otherwise clean and undamaged. (see photo) Side Two is clean with no marks or writing at all. Both retain vivid original colour.
COVER: EXCELLENT. This is NOT the original, but a brand new specially-made reproduction of the original "Senol Printing" cover. It was reproduced to look exactly like the original, but is made from heavier and better laminated card to avoid the sort of damage and rapid wear which original covers suffered. It exactly matches all the original typefaces and fonts, colours and layout, and but for the fact that it is quite obviously a modern copy, is indistinguishable from the all-laminated single cover produced in 1969.  This is not a cheap photo-copy, but a hand-made reproduction  printed to a very high quality and constructed to the same spec as a 1969 version with internal flipbacks and a proper spine. You will be hard pushed to find an original cover today which doesn't have serious laminate lifting and creasing and other long-term damage.   INNER SLEEVE: Excellent, brand new poly-lined white paper.
OVERALL: I have searched high and low for an original replacement cover for this record which I have owned since new. Its original cover was trashed many years ago but the record itself has been very carefully stored and not often played. The vinyl is visually not perfect, but there is no fault with the audio whatsoever which remains excellent. As it is housed in a facsimile cover, I have priced this album accordingly, so it represents a considerable discount over the price of a similar grade original first pressing with an original cover - but seriously, good luck with finding one of those!

GRADINGS: (plus or minus signs used to indicate records falling between these categories) Mint - The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality.  Excellent - The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality.  Very Good - The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch.  Good - The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches.
