This Canadian only rarity of the debut release from The Tragically Hip has a different cover from the MCA LP release. For the front cover, the RCA version has the name of the band in different two coloured fonts and two different coloured outlines with the MCA version in solid black text with white only to outline the text. The RCA version has a hued night sky with black buildings with white windows with white contrast in the background and a blue hued foreground. The MCA version has the sky, background and foreground in one solid blue monochrome tinted background and foreground with no shading. The images of the band members are in a higher contrast

For the back cover the RCA cover has an extension of the night sky with black buildings along the bottom. The MCA version has the same blue monochrome tint with additional graphics (balls and lines) that are extended from the front cover. The fonts are in a larger sizer on the RCA cover. The credits that do not appear on the RCA cover are found with lyrics on a custom inner sleeve that the MCA was not released with.

The RCA labels are the stock black with a white outlined RCA logo at the top with Nipper to the right of it. This LP release was mastered and pressed by RCA Canada.

The cover is in near mint condition. The seams and spine are all nearly perfect with only a hint of wear. The inner sleeve that has band credits on one side and lyrics on the other is in excellent condition but does show signs of storage. There is one very slightly rounded bottom corner and some natural rippling from the pressure the jacket had exerted on the inner sleeve.

The labels have no sign of spindle marks or other wear. The disc sides are both free from scratches or scuffs and are in never played condition. The matrix numbers are A1/B1, a first pressing. The LP will be cleaned on a VPI record cleaning machine and a new clear inner sleeve will be provided. The disc will be mailed outside it's jacket yet in between two insert pads.
