** Rare 1971 original UK very early pressing of TRAFFIC'S classic album - WELCOME TO THE CANTEEN - on "palm tree" Island label with PINK RIM, with FULLY LAMINATED SLEEVE (FRONT AND REAR), and INDENTED SPINE **

A Very Good+ condition disc. Some minor visible surface marks, a few very light scratches, where the record has been taken out of the inner sleeve, but none which affect the sound quality. Quite a few spindle marks.  Original STEREO mixes of both sides. No skips, jumps, sticking, warps, or writing on labels. Excellent clean labels on both sides. Excellent sound quality, with occasional  minor surface noise. Tested on a Thorens turntable.

Outer Sleeve in Excellent condition, with hardly any wear, and very minor creasing in a couple of places. No writing anywhere. No seam splits. Hardly any wear to spine, and all text still clearly legible. The spine of the cover of this early pressing has an unusual indented and flattened design (see photo).

Supplied in plain white inner sleeve.

GRADING:

All records are graded using the 'Record Collector' format:

MINT (M): The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
