TRACTOR – Same ORIG Dandelion LP / 2310 217 (UK, Stereo, 1972)
Happy to present a superb and true near to mint copy of this blistering heavy fuzz/prog LP recorded in Rochdale and released on John Peel’s Dandelion label. If you’re searching for an ultra clean keeper copy then look no further!
The single format non-laminated sleeve was printed in England by MacNeill Press, London and is in all round EX (Excellent) condition. There’s light edge wear and rubs to both top and bottom, some corner wear (not much) and a small corner dink bottom left, one thumb crease each side, very slight ruffles to the opening edge and handling/storage rubs both front and back. That’s the flaws away from mint. There’s no splits, tears, writing or appreciable ring wear. The spine is great – virtually no compression, no nicks and all text fully vivid and legible. No bends or ripples and generally looks strong especially for a 38 year old non-laminate.
The original Dandelion labels show only one or two light spindle trails per side (you need to study to find these). IT LOOKS LIKE THIS HAS ONLY HAD MAYBE 2 PLAYS. There’s no soiling, writing, foxing spots, stickers or residue. Beautiful labels!
The medium weight vinyl will not be found much better than this.

I have looked hard and long at the surfaces of this disc and have found nothing untoward. No scratches, no scuffs, no hairlines, no embedded dirt no cleaning ripples. Maintains an excellent shine and looks ‘as issued’. My top grade for second hand records is M-, but the disc really does need to look like new. Anyway this grades M- (Mint Minus) and should satisfy the most stringent of collectors. IT HAS BEEN CAREFULLY LISTENED TO and from the initial silent run-ins, plays 99% quietly. There’s barely a soft tick and certainly no surface static or any crackle. 2 quickfire pops were noted during ‘Everytime It Happens’ but that’s pretty much it. There’s no hiss, distortion or loss of clarity, no repetitive clicks and of course no skips or repeats. Superb audio on this most important of UK prog titles!
Would easily sit happily in any top-grade progressive collection. Lovely copy. No reserve.
