Description
- Tower Of Power released their second studio album "Bump City" in May 1972 on Warner Bros. Records. It was their first Warner Bros. release following their debut album "East Bay Grease" on Bill Graham's Fillmore Records and the first with new lead singer Rick Stevens. Hit singles include "You're Still A Young Man" and "Down To The Nightclub."
- This copy of (BS 2616) is from the First Pressing nearly 50 years ago and is in excellent condition. The cover still has its original Factory Shrink Wrap and is in Near-Mint condition. Please see the pictures. The disc test plays cleanly and is easily VG+ which is as high as I go on vintage vinyl. It was recorded at Steve Cropper's TMI Sound Studios in Memphis and this copy was pressed at the Columbia Records plant in Santa Maria, Calif. The Side One dead wax is etched BS-2616 40162-A-1B A1 1S.
- In addition to its original packaging, this album will come with a high quality Anti-Static Round Bottom Inner Sleeve to hold the vinyl disc and a sturdy 3 mil. polyethylene Archival Quality Outer Sleeve.
- Free shipping is included in the special corrugated album mailer seen in the last picture.
- This vintage 12" vinyl album has been sitting upright on a shelf in climate controlled storage for the past 49 years. It has not been played in decades other than a quick test spin for this sale which found no skips or obvious flaws. Like all used records it should be cleaned and wiped with an anti-static brush to minimize the occasional pops that are part of playing vinyl albums. Buyers should note that this is a well-cared for but used record and it will have some minor imperfections.
