Description

Arturo Toscanini conducts the La Scala Symphony in a performance of BEETHOVEN's Egmont Overture.  Recorded on July 7, 1946, this recording was made from transfers from a Zurich Switzerland broadcast of March 2, 1947.  The performance was unpublished as a commercial 78RPM record.  These are single-sided VINYL PRESSINGS of the TWO 78RPM matrices for this recording.  The H.M.V. Matrix numbers for this recording are 2EA 11704 and 2EA 11705.  These discs are visually MINT and have silent surfaces but for the rare, occasional 'tic'.  They are quite stunning overall.  Winning bidder, please wait for my invoice before paying.  Good luck to all bidders and please look for the other rare and unpublished Toscanini 78RPM records that I will be listing on eBay.
