Original 1972 first pressing in specially designed 'window' triple fold cover ...The very first collaborations and album by David Crosby (ex-Byrds) and Graham Nash (ex-Hollies) ...features guest appearances by Dave Mason and Grateful Dead members Jerry Garcia & Phil Lesh, plus the classic 'Southbound Train' and the top 40 hit 'Immigration Man'
Near impossible to find an original with a CLEAN window cover...the dark color is always with shelf wear and even the window torn...NOT THIS COPY...beautiful CLEAN minty (see below condition details) a real prize, for sure in this clean condition...
Most likely one of Crosby & Nash's most accomplished collaborations.
Everything you already cherish about these two is present here, heartfelt and immaculate harmonies, strong and distinct compositions from both artists, and superb musicianship -again provided by the 60's elite of California's session players. When it comes to specific songs, it's more a matter of personal choices than objective hierarchies. Nash's songs are particularly moving and fiercer -as much as "fierce" is ever something to be said about Graham Nash- than anything in "Songs For Beginners." Crosby's pieces carry the wonderful dramatic undertow he could invoke -it seems, at will- ever since The Byrds' days and, more poignantly, in his first solo album and Deja Vu. All in all, a thing of beauty. No disappointments, no proverbial "black holes."

CONDITION: The triple fold 'window' cover is "EX" (excellent) to M- try finding a 1972 dark color window cover this clean, not easy. The fragile window is perfect, no bends or tears...all around solid cover that has been in careful hands the past 38 years.
