Description
It's time for me to put up for auction a number of rare and collectible Tool LPs and Picture Disks that have been in storage for many years - in fact since they were first released or rereleased. All of this vinyl was originally sourced from the label at the time of the release or rerelease. As you will see some of the sleeves are either notched or BB holed as these copies were designated as internal record company promos to be given away. None of this vinyl has ever been played - so any wear that you see is due the way is it was originally handled/shipped or stored.
Up for auction. This is rare original and never played copy of Tool's 12" picture disk "Sober." released in 1993. 7431-22043-1 It is complete with the original clear plastic sleeve with barcode sticker in the top right corner. There is no discoloration as it has been stored in the dark.
Text printed on vinyl SIDE A edge reads, "SIDE A. SOBER (5:06) 74321-22043-1 ? 1993 BMG Music. All trademarks and logos are protected. Distributed by BMG. A Bertelsmann Music Group Company. Made in England. All Rights Reserved. Unauthorized Copying, Reproduction, Hiring, Lending Public Performance and Broadcasting Prohibited. LC 6410 BIEM/GEMA." with a Zoo logo at the head and BMG logo at the tail. Side B is the same, though mostly unreadable because the ink color is almost the same as the picture color. Side A 1. Sober Side B. 1. Prison Sex 2. Intolerance.
Condition . The vinyl has never been played so it is as new. There may possibly be some dust that has worked its way in but it looks very clean. It is untouched. The sleeve is a clear plastic envelope and is in NM condition. It has no marks, scratches or wear that I can see and the barcode sticker is white and clean. It is slightly rippled/wavy but this is typical of the material.

I am cautious to accept returns due to the fragile nature of the item which I have listed in exact detail. For any concerns or questions please ask questions and I will send more pictures and/or add extra description. As this is a sealed pressing I encourage you to do your own thorough research on the web to ensure that you are comfortable with bidding - there are a number of websites with information - however I have found that the information can sometimes by a little contradictory and you may need to dig deeper than just one website.
I will package the item very carefully to ensure that it is not damaged during shipping.

REVISION TO VINYL CONDITION.
I was just looking close up at the vinyl for another bidder and I noticed that there were two imperfections in the vinyl. The picture disk vinyl is clear and pressed over the image. I can't believe I didn't see this before - I had previously thought these marks were imperfections in the picture and not in the vinyl. There is a small blotch/patch on each side of the album about 1/2" in from the edge. The two marks line up perfectly with each other, so were somehow mistakes/errors created during pressing rather than something falling on the record afterwards. Maybe something got stuck in the pressing - I cannot say. I Side A the mark is about 1/8" x 3/16" on Side B the mark is slightly bigger about 3/16 " x 3/16". I was worried that the tracks would not play so I tested just these two small areas , its really a matter of a few grooves. The tracks played much better than I thought - the marks sound more like a small patch of dust rather than a heavy scratch and was surprisingly quiet - considering how obvious they are. I can attest to their durability. Errors in pressings on picture disks are not uncommon - but I believe if you really wanted to hear these tracks correctly you would not listen to the lower quality picture disk. I have posted two pictures of the marks. Sorry but I cannot revise the auction title - it should now read 99% never played.
