Description

TONY NEWMAN - SOUL THING / LET THE GOOD TIMES ROLL [PARROT PROMO 40031]

Label: Parrot Promotional Copy 40031 Titles: "Soul Thing" & "Let The Good Times Roll" Year: 1968
Tony Newman uses his drums to create a solid soul beat gem. This double sided instrumental showcases Newman's talent and versatility as a drummer. In addition to releasing his own singles, he also worked as a studio drummer for acts like David Bowie, Jeff Beck and Donovan among others. He is also a featured drummer on The Who's Tommy.
The label has typical label wear on either side. There are no stickers on the label. There is writing on the A side label in red marker to the right of the Parrot logo as well as over the right side of the title. The vinyl has typical wear on either side. While the B side does not look visually impaired, there are 2 points where the volume fades a little during the track. Perhaps a cleaning can eliminate this. The Parrot sleeve is included and in great condition. The paper is crisp with no rips or splits. There is a tiny bit of staining on one side, but nothing impending or obnoxious. You can listen to the actual record here.

*Please note - my turntable is a simple ION Profile LP simply for converting media. It is by no means a high end turntable and the sound quality will be MUCH better on a higher end turn table.
All records come with basic sleeves unless a factory or picture sleeve is indicated in the description. I do not use a grading system as I feel that everyone interprets it differently. For example, I see many records listed as being Near Mint, yet the label is torn or has writing on it. To me that is not near mint. I prefer to describe the record as best I can, post photos, and allow viewers to listen to the actual record as to determine for themselves how the record should be graded.
I ship using Media Mail at $3.00 and deliver the day of or after the payment is received. Please remember that shipping costs also include the cost of materials to ship the order. International shipping is available. The cost to ship this Internationally is $14.00.  I will also combine shipping. I try to keep shipping costs as low as possible, however recent increases by USPS have affected what I charge to ship - and believe me, I am NOT happy about it.
I am happy to ship internationally, however I will not change the value of the record. There are many reasons for this. First, I enjoy selling records and do not want to jeopardize that. Second, I include a receipt with the order and if customs were to examine the package, they would see the difference. Third, if something were to happen to the item in shipping, I would refund the customers money, but then not be able to claim what was lost. Thanks you for understanding.
