TOMORROW - Tomorrow EMI Parlophone 1968
Here is one of the TOP Psych UK Classics. With members including drummer Twink later Pink Fairies and Pretty Things and future Yes-guitarist Steve Howe. An album that perfectly encapsulates the late sixties psych scene in England. Partly recorded in 1967 but first released in 1968, it demonstrates the vitality and cultural and musical renewal that was going on at the time. Includes classic songs like "My White Bicycle", "Revolution", "Hallucinations" and a great cover of "Strawberry Fields Forever". A must-have for any psych collector.
RECORD: The record has been played but there is very little deterioration in sound. Still has a nice sheen but there are quite a few hairlines, so VG+.
LABELS: Signs of use in the form of spindle wear, EX.
SLEEVE: The original Garrod & Lofthouse laminated flipback sleeve. The cover has some general age wear ( a little creasing etc) but still looks great. Whole and (quite) clean - no rips, tears or writing. Opening is (quite) straight and strong. The spine is fully readable. Original inner bag. VG+
SOUND/AUDIO: It has obviously been played and enjoyed but still plays great. A little background noise in quiet passages and some surface noise between tracks, but no scratches, clicks or pops. Actually the sound is impressive on many of these recordings from the late sixties. Playing through this album it sounds like the band is playing live in your living room. Amazing! Clear, dynamic and organic sound. VG+
