GLORIOUS MONO FIRST PRESSING

First press  black and yellow "Gramophone Co" labels


Matrices:  XEX 667-1 AND XEX 668-1

Mothers/Stampers: SIDE 1 =  1A       SIDE 2 = 1R


Vinyl:  Looks worse than it plays.   As with a lot of sixties mono pressings, despite looking like it has been around the block a few times it plays brilliantly throughout.  The punchy mono sound really jumps out when given a play on my Rega P3.   Yes, there is some crackle here and there but there is no real distortion to speak of.  Obviously there are no skips or jumps. I've tried to show the worst of the marks in the photos.   The labels are nice and clean with no spider marks.   K/T tax codes.  


Overall the vinyl grades VG


Sleeve:  A really nice example of this Garrod and Lofthouse Patent Pending sleeve - no writing, rips or tears.   No laminate lift, just a few laminate creases to the front and age related marks on the rear sleeve.  Fully readable spine.
