Description

This is a set of the seven original Tomita albums from 1974-1980.  Isao Tomita was one the important early visionary synthesists who created new interpretations of timeless "classical" music on the synthesizer.  He was such a pioneer that many of his sounds are now "classics" in sythesizer sound design.  These albums are beautiful interpretations and technically impressive, especially when you realize that much of the early records were recorded by carefully overdubbing the many single lines with a monophonic Moog synthesizer and analog tape.
I am the original owner and they were played on high quality turntables so they are in great shape.  As you can see from the pictures, these are also cosmetically in very good condition.  These are the original RCA Red Seal versions of each album, not subsequent "value" reissues.  Albums included are:

  • The Bermuda Triangle (gatefold, special cream-orange disc, 1979 RCA Red Seal ARL1-2885)
  • Bolero (1980 RCA Red Seal ARL1-3412) 
My name is on the sleeve, case and label of each, but is fairly unobtrusive.  Also, there was scotch tape on the pressure points of the sleeves to protect from ripping.  In some cases this has discolored and/or fallen off.  I have listened to them all and they all play properly.  These are being sold as a set only and are being sold as-is.
