Description
Available here is a 12” vinyl LP by Tom Waits - The Black Rider. An original 1st pressing, of what is a very rare and collectible record, it was issued in the UK by Island in 1993 with the catalogue number ILPS 8021.
Identifiers - The record has the following matrix marks -
Matrix / Runout - Side A - Etched - ILPS 8021 A 1- + (SNA logo)
Matrix / Runout - Side B - Etched - ILPS 8021 B 1- + (SNA logo)
Vinyl Condition - Very Good+ - Possibly worthy of an Excellent- but I tend to grade cautiously, especially where rare and collectible items are concerned. In this instance, the record is very bright and clean - no scratches, although light surface marks are present. I’ve listened to both sides and can confirm that there is no jumping or sticking. A few background clicks or pops were heard but nothing major. Background hiss/noise/crackle is occasional and if present only during quieter moments. I’ve given the record a cursory clean but suspect that the sound quality may well improve further with a little more dedicated attention.
Sleeve/Cover Condition - Excellent- - The outer cover is free from any serious damage - no tears, nicks, marks or major creasing. There is a little rubbing in places to the edges and corner, with minor stress creases. Printed lyric/photo inner sleeve is excellent.

If possible I use good clean recyclable material but I also buy bubble wrap, brown paper, packing tape and glue and all items are well wrapped and protected before posting. Items are also weighed and postage calculated before I list at auction and a small percentage of the charge does go towards packing costs.
