Description
UK pressing of Tom Waits' first studio album for Island - and a big crossover hit (since rated as one of the top 40 albums of the 80s) that introduced this cult artist to new many new fans.
Some shelf wear/light creasing along bottom edge of sleeve and spine. Other than that, the outer sleeve is in remarkably good condition for an album of this vintage (especially one that has been regularly played).
Printed black and white inner sleeve is in even better condition - looks pretty much as it was when bought in 1983 with a nice sheen and no marks etc. All the lyrics are here in glorious white on black together with another image from the iconic carnival photoshoot.
Vinyl in very good condition - some surface marks consistent with age and regular playing/pulling in and out of the paper inner sleeve.
No clicks or deep scratches - this album has been played on quality hi-fi with regularly changed stylus - but surface noise is evident on quieter tracks.
