Description

TOM WAITS, RAIN DOGS, ORIGINAL 1985 UK ISLAND LP, BLUES ROCK / EXPERIMENTAL, VG

Tom Waits – Rain Dogs (12” LP)

Thomas Alan Waits (born December 7, 1949) is an American musician, composer, songwriter and actor. His lyrics often focus on the underbelly of society and are delivered in his trademark deep, gravelly voice. He worked primarily in jazz during the 1970s, but his music since the 1980s has reflected greater influence from blues, rock, vaudeville, and experimental genres.
Side One: Singapore; Clap Hands; Cemetery Polka; Jockey Full Of Bourbon; Tango Till They're Sore; Big Black Mariah; Diamonds And Gold; Hang Down Your Head; Time.
Side Two: Rain Dogs; Midtown (Instrumental); 9th & Hennepin; Gun Street Girl; Union Square; Blind Love; Walking Spanish; Downtown Train; Bride Of Rain Dog (Instrumental); Anywhere I Lay My Head.
The album is on Island Records, ILPS 9803. Matrix side one: ILPS 9803 A-1U-1-1-X1 (stamped). Matrix side two: ILPS 9803 B-1U-1-1-1 (stamped).
Released in 1985. UK pressing. Stereo.
Condition: (as Record Collector’s grading system)
Vinyl side 1: very good (has the odd light mark and plays with the odd light click on track one but certainly nothing that spoils your enjoyment of the music, plays with no jumps or sticks and minimal crackle, has a bit of a warp but plays ok on my record deck).
Vinyl side 2: very good (has a few marks and plays with the odd light click mainly at the start of the side but certainly nothing that spoils your enjoyment of the music, plays with no jumps or sticks and minimal crackle, has a bit of a warp but plays ok on my record deck).
Cover (glossy): excellent (a few small light creases mainly around the edges, the odd mark hereand there).
Comes with the original inner sleeve in excellent condition.
I have tried to give my honest opinion as to the condition. I will give a complete refund to the buyer if they are not happy with the record.
Any questions, don’t hesitate to ask.

RECORD COLLECTOR GRADING SYSTEM:
MINT: I very rarely use the mint grade. Only records that are still sealed or records that even under the strongest of lights are completely unmarked. Also covers that are unmarked/uncreased in any way and still look brand new.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is no lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler. Payment strictly by PayPal only. Postal discounts available for multiple purchases - Please email for details.  859 (GS 7.0.21 (859))
