Tiny was one of those nicknames handed out to a LARGE guy, and Tiny Parham was a large guy – a piano player who had a forceful jazz style and led bands in Chicago in the late '20s thru the mid '30s. He got an early start with Brady's Clarinet Band, recording for Gennett but was soon recording under his own name for Paramount and then cut many sides for Victor.
Both songs here are from a session in Chicago on February 1, 1929.
