Description
Up for auction is a very nice 4 LP box set of "The Complete Blue Note Recordings Of The Tina Brooks Quintets" released on Mosaic Records (MR4-106) in 1985. This is a limited edition box set, number 1559 of 7500, a desirable low number pressing in the series. Includes original booklet with liner notes, track listings, and personnel. Each LP comes in an anti-static audiophile inner sleeve.
The box is in very nice condition. Front graphics are nice and shiny, no ring wear or rubbing losses. Corners are sharp, and hinge is intact and strong. Back of the box shows some separations along the seams, but they are otherwise strong and intact with no other signs of wear. I'd grade the box to be in EX (Excellent) condition.
The four LPs are in beautiful condition. No obvious scratches or scuffs, they have very few, if any, signs of previous handling or play. Original high gloss luster is still intact. Labels are bright and clean, no marks around spindle holes. I'd be surprised if these records have been played more than once or twice. Play tested, these records sound clean and as close to new as you'd expect from their appearance. I'd grade the records Near Mint (NM).
