Description

Welcome to Rock2FunkYourSoul's Rare Vinyl Auction! 150 records with particular focus this week on: Rock, Country, Folk, Psych, Bluegrass, Prog, Experimental, spanning mainly from the 1960's, 70's, and 80's! All pressings are original, I do not sell bootlegs, or reissues :)

  • Vinyl Condition: EX (some light paper sleeve scuffs under bright light DNAP, beautiful copy! Crisp labels!)
  • Cover Condition: VG- (There are two tears on the front cover, presumably being an old library copy, seam splits at the "mouth" of the cover on the top and bottom, both approximately 3 1/2 inches in length).
  • Year of Release: 1966
  • Record Label / Catalogue #: Broadside BRX 601
  • Additional Attributes: sadly did not come with booklet!
  • Commentary (Something like the Beatles, Rush, etc. speak for themselves! This is a space for more obscure items, to provide a loving collector's notes, no dealer hype, just because a Xian private press has 5 seconds of fuzz guitar for example doesn't make it a psych grail out of acid archives or Pokora!)
Review: This is the very very first pressing, with the slightly shifted to the left text "The Psychedelic Experience" on the labels underneath Broadside. Labels are ever so slightly off-center. I would refer one to the Discogs page for the write-up on that. The Folkways is a reissue from 1980 (not 1966, as the Discogs for the Folkways mistakenly indicates, as that one is catalogue FL 9701, whereas FL 9702 is the Folkways release "Various Artists - Poets Read Their Contemporary Poetry: Before Columbus Foundation" which was released in 1980, apart of the confusion arises because in the early 1970's Folkways acquired the small NY based Broadside label, with the entire catalogue, so Folkways simply re-released it, with the accurate recorded in 1966, but not the date of reissue which appears implicit from the catalogue #). So this is the much more rare, very first, in the midst of it, 1966 Broadside release :).

My grading system comes from being a longtime collector myself, meaning conservative grading, and transparency :). NM EX VG+ VG VG- G+
Some terminology abbreviations: *DNAP = Does Not Affect Play *OIS = Original Inner Sleeve *WLP = White Label Promo
If a record is sealed, I will state "sealed" and presumed "mint", making sure it is flat, and such. Should a buyer win a sealed item, I am happy to unseal it for them upon request.
Packing is done using LP mailers, record outside of jacket in polysleeve. All records that reach $30+ in final bidding will have a MoFi or similar high quality inner sleeve along with OIS (If OIS is applicable!)
I have been collecting for about 20 years, and integrity is important to me; I want you to be proud and happy with your purchase, satisfied with accurate grading, and knowing you can have confidence in the record when bidding and purchasing.
At Rock2FunkYourJazzSoul we hope to have the honor of your business, and repeat business if another desired item comes up :)
Although the idea, practices is to absolutely avoid this for your satisfaction, if it happens, returns are accepted, money back, and for domestic purchasers in the US, the return shipping is on us. Everything possible is done to instead have an item you're completely satisfied with, but apart of integrity is standing by the customer, you.
Please feel free to message with any questions, comments, concerns, and I will be happy to return a thorough, comprehensive response :)
*NOTE: PLEASE ALLOW FOR 5 DAY HANDLING TIME, I WILL ALWAYS INCLUDE TRACKING #*
If You Win Multiple Items Please Wait For My Invoice As I Will Combine Shipping To Be The Lowest Possible Cost For You :)

*NOTE ON CURRENT FEEDBACK: I have 1 negative feedback from a "buy it now" rare first edition book, from a partial refund troll, who refused full refund because they didn't want to return a book they admitted in the messaging was a great deal. eBay is currently adjudicating the matter, otherwise I have only positive feedback, check the one's left from my last vinyl sales for a good idea :)* - It's sad that this has happened, between Discogs, eBay, and selling at record conventions, I've never encountered this before. As someone who values integrity, I believe 99.9% of people are great, and will do good by others.
