The Times - Go With The Times (Pastell, POW 3) - test pressing
I cannot imagine there are more than a handful of these in the world, but it may well be that there is only a handful of people who care. So here is the first Times/Teenage Filmstars LP, which was recorded in 1980 and finally released in Germany five years later, by which time Edward Ball was an ex-Television Personality. What's it like? Well, if you like this stuff - and my God, I do - it's ace, a sort of crappy version of the Jam with art school pretensions. It's also got Red With Purple Flashes on - which was the Times' debut single for Whaam! - which is beyond awesome.

Sleeve: VG+: It is a push to describe it as a sleeve, but let's suspend disbelief for a second. What we have is a vinyl lined plain inner with a photostat sheet pasted to the front giving the track listing and the release date (14 June 1985!!). It is what it is, and it's fine.
Record: EXCELLENT: It has been in and out of its sleeve a few times and might have been played once or twice. I am geeky and treat my records nice. Incidentally, my principle (commercial suicide as it may be) is never to grade as MINT unless I know for an absolute fact that the record has never been played before.
TRUST MY GRADINGS; I worked in a top London collector's shop for years, and my VG is most people's MINT on eBay.
I recycle packaging when possible; it's cheap and also the right thing to do, people.
