  Smooth Ball was the second and also the last album by this US psych rock band. Their debut album is nothing special but Smooth Ball is a huge step forward in my opinion. To be honest this sounds like a totally different band when I compare this album to it's predecessor.
  
  Their first album was a mix of psych rock and psych pop with quite mediocre material. Smooth Ball is more heavy psych/acid rock oriented totality with some blues rock elements as well. The guitarwork was already solid in their debut album but in Smooth Ball the guitarwork is just brilliant. Magnificent jamming all the way through.
  
  I like this record very much and it's easy to recommend Smooth Ball for every psych rock fan out there. Hard rock and blues rock fans might also wanna check this one out. Four stars out of five but I almost gave it 4,5 stars.
