Die niederländische Band Time Bandits, gegründet von Alides Hidding, hatte sowohl nationalen als auch internationalen Erfolg. Charakteristisch für Time Bandits ist der professionelle Sound aus Funk, Disco, Soul und Rock und die unverwechselbare Stimme und der Gitarren-Sound von Alides Hidding. Time Bandits veröffentlichten insgesamt vier Alben, die alle weltweit die Charts stürmten und mehrere Singles enthielten, die zu Welthits wurden.
Die Band startete 1981 mit der Debüt-Single "Live It Up", die Platz 1 der amerikanischen Dance Charts erreichte. Im Jahr 1983 platzierten sie mit den Singles "I'm Specialized In You", "Listen To The Man With The Golden Voice" und "I'm Only Shooting Love" drei Top 10-Hits.
Das Musikvideo zu ihrer 1985er Single "Endless Road" wurde in Australien während ihrer Tournee gefilmt und inzwischen auf Youtube über 2,5 Millionen Mal angesehen.
Zur Feier des 40. Jahrestages der Gründung der Time Bandits und der Veröffentlichung ihrer ersten Single "Live It Up" präsentiert Music On Vinyl die Vinyl-Edition von „Greatest Hits“, die alle ihre Hits, verschiedene Remixe und drei von den Fans geliebte Bonus-Tracks enthält: "Reach Out", "Dancing On A String" und "Endless Road (High Energy Dance Mix by Ben Liebrand)".
