Description
Released in 1983 on Red Ronnie's Nice Label Mission Is Terminated collects together Throbbing Gristle's last studio recordings (which also saw release in a different form on Journey Through A Body) on a 12" EP and pairs it with an LP of various bits and bobs. Possibly the only release which features TG (and a snippet of very early Psychic TV) alongside Duran Duran (!) and Elvis Presley (!!).
Also includes 'Red Ronnie's Bazar 3' - a fanzine featuring interviews with GP-O, and rare TG photos, as well as a cartoon strip concerning the role of heroin in the music scene. The interview is in English in one half of the fanzine, and in Italian in the other.
The TG vinyl is in excellent condition, clean and undamaged other than some light surface markings. Playback is a little crackly however - especially on the run-ins - but this has been the case with every copy of this release I've encountered over the years, so I'm certain that this is the nature of the pressing. The companion album is unplayed.
The sleeve has a little shelf-wear and discolouration, but nothing overly disfiguring. The fanzine - often missing - is sound and undamaged. Overall a very nice copy. See photos below for more.
As a little bonus with this item I'm including two of the TG Industrial Records 7" releases. These are Something Came Over Me b/w Subhuman and Adrenalin b/w Distant Dreams Part 2. Both of these are in their original sleeves and camouflage bags. Both bags are somewhat creased and tatty, as are the sleeves. Both vinyl are undamaged and sound, but are very dusty and sound it too. With a good clean they would likely sound as clear as a bell. Again - see photos below for more.
