THE THIRD EYE- Awakening- Perhaps THIRD EYE is the best band from S.A. with the most innovative and complex music. Most music lovers would vote Freedoms Children as the biggest influence in S.A,. rock but THIRD EYE will share at least half of that cake. In cooperation with Dawn Selby (hammond organ) and her brother Ron (guitar) this project came to life again. They where based in Durban, a coastal city several hundred miles away from the recording and musical hub of Johannesburg and started playing in 1968. The first album AWAKENING came out in 1969 when the female organ player Dawn Selby was only 14 years old. Just imagine her age when you listen to the amazing organ and piano tracks. AWAKENING was released in 1969 followed by 2 more albums SEARCHING and BROTHER just one year later in 1970. What a musical output in such a short time. The band and composer must have sit on a volcano where they just waited to outburst their music onto the rock universe. AWAKENING is the most complex album of the 3 with great brass arrangements, piano, hammond organ, fuzz-guitar and vocals full of soul. Musically going in the direction of bands such as Electric Flag, The Flock's Dinosaur Swamps, Chicago, The Nice and Al Cooper.

Packaging & Shipping:

We are extra careful packing and shipping all our items. Records are always removed from their sleeves to avoid seam split covers (except for sealed records), extra padding is added to assure a strong and solid package. Items are shipped in strong LP mailers within 48 hours of payment reception. We endeveour to provide the best, faster and most secure service possible. WE ONLY SHIP REGISTERED AIRMAIL . This way it's possible to track down packages. Any other shipping method is always a risk, so if you really prefer to have your package not registered and pay less for shipping, you must agree that you assume responsability for a lost package. If you choose NON-REGISTERED shipping, you must send us an email confirmation that in case of loss or non-receipt, you assume all responsability and therefore give up your right to any complaints. If you do not agree with this then please do choose the recommended registered shipping method!

Grading:

Our grading is based on the Record Collector Grading system with the addition of + and - for a better level of accuracy. 
We grade strictly and conservatively!

We accept PAYPAL (free of charges) or a Bank Wire (free of charges within EU).
Cash on pick-up is also accepted.
Bank wires from overseas are expensive and require a % added to the total.
