THIRD EAR BAND's HAUNTING MUSIC USED IN THE 1971 ROMAN POLANSKI FILM "The Tragedy Of Macbeth"

 Third Ear Bands score for the Roman Polanski film Macbeth required the group to work in a more constricted format to their earlier output - instead of lengthy hypnotic drones, the music is split into 16 separate pieces, some of them quite short but nonetheless the album works extremely effectively on its own, conjuring appropriately ominous Elizabethan moods, with the surprise addition of (uncredited) female vocals on one track.
