On offer here is a VERY rare LP (especially in this condition!!!!) by Thin Lizzy called "Shades Of A Blue Orphanage" and is an ORIGINAL 1972 UK 1st Pressing on the 1st Press Decca label!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND!!!!  THIS IS WITHOUT ANY DOUBT ONE OF THE ALL TIME RAREST LPs ON THE DECCA LABEL TO FIND AS A 100% GENIUNE 1ST PRESSING - AND VIRTUALLY NEVER TURNS UP FOR SALE!!!!  JUST TRY AND FIND ANOTHER ONE!!!!  BACK IN 1972 WHEN THIS LP WAS FIRST RELEASED - IT ONLY EVER SOLD IN ABSOLUTELY TINY AMOUNTS, AND WAS ALMOST IMMEDIATELY DELETED!!!!  AS A RESULT IT IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND INCREDIBLY HARD TO LOCATE TODAY!!!!  BUT WHAT MAKES THIS LP REALLY SPECIAL - IS THAT IT IS THE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSING EVER MADE!!!!  AND THIS IS VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND ON THIS LP!!!!  WHEN THIS LP WAS FIRST RELEASED IN 1972 - IT WAS PUT OUT ON DECCA'S 'TXS' SERIES.  THIS SERIES STARTED OFF IN 1966 (WITH THE ROLLING STONES'S 'HIGH TIDE & GREEN GRASS') AND UNLIKE NORMAL DECCA 'LK/SKL' PRESSINGS - IT CAME WITH A 'GREEN' DECCA LABEL!!!!  CONFUSINGLY 'A CERTAIN RECORD PRICE GIUDE' HAVE HAD A HUGE ERROR IN THEIR CATALOGUE FOR YEARS - STATING THAT THIS LP WAS 1ST PRESSED ON THE DARK BLUE DECCA LABEL - LEADING MANY PEOPLE TO BUY RE-ISSUES (I KNOW OF 3 PEOPLE WHO DID THAT).  HOWEVER - IF THE 'GUIDE' HAD ONLY CHECKED OUT EVERY SINGLE LABEL ON DECCA'S 'TXS' SERIES - THEY WOULD KNOW THAT UNLIKE DECCA'S 'SKL' SERIES (WHICH OF COURSE WAS BLUE!) - ALL DECCA LPs (WITHOUT EXCEPTION!) WHICH WERE RELEASED ON THE 'TXS' SERIES WERE ALWAYS 1ST PRESSED ON GREEN DECCA LABELS!!!!  CONFUSINGLY WHEN DECCA WENT BUST IN 1974 - THE DECCA LABEL WAS THEN TAKEN OVER - AND THE COLOUR SCHEME DROPPED, WITH 1975/76 RE-ISSUES ACTUALLY BEING PRESSED ON THINNER VINYL AND AN AWFUL LOOKING DARK GREY/BLUE DECCA LABEL (WHICH ARE THE ONES THE PEOPLE I KNOW MISTAKENLY BOUGHT AS '1ST PRESSINGS'!).  BUT THIS ONE IS UNDOUBTEDLY THE 100% GENIUNE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSING ON THE GREEN DECCA LABEL - AND IS INCREDIBLY HARD TO FIND!!!!  SO THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO DOUBT AT ALL - THAT THIS IS THE 'EARLIEST' & RAREST 1ST PRESSING OF THIS INCREDIBLE LP - THAT YOU CAN POSSIBLY GET!!!!

NOT ONLY THAT BUT THIS LP IS IN BRILLIANT CONDITION AND HAS BARELY BEEN PLAYED AT ALL!!!!  JUST TAKE A LOOK AT THE PICTURES!!!!  THIS IS THE ORIGINAL 1972 UK 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSING ON THE 1ST PRESS 'GREEN' DECCA LABEL, 1ST PRESS INNER SLEEVE, AND 1ST PRESS 'ROBERT STACE' GATEFOLD COVER!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO LOCATE - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS AMAZING OPPORTUNITY!!!!  This is the ORIGINAL Decca UK 1st Pressing from 1971 and is in BRILLIANT condition!!!!  The record is pressed on THICK quality vinyl.  The Cat. No is TXS 108 on the ORIGINAL 1st Press Decca Label (see picture) and is a UK Stereo 1st Pressing (there were NO Monos!)!!!! 

The record labels are in BRILLIANT condition (see pictures) with NO wear, only 1 minor residue trace (NOT a tear!) on 1 label ONLY, NO writing, and barely ANY spindle marks AT ALL!!!!  IT IS VERY CLEAR THAT THIS RECORD HAS BARELY BEEN PLAYED AT ALL!!!!  The vinyl is in BRILLIANT condition!!!!  Most of these 60s/70s LPs had been to a lot of wild parties and are usually found totally worn out, and almost unplayable. This one is NOT and has NO scratches, only 1 light hairline, only 1 VERY light scuffline, and only a VERY few of the lightest paper scuffs only visible under light!!!!  THE RECORD STILL RETAINS ITS ORIGINAL JUST PRESSED LOOK AND SHINES LIKE NEW!!!!  It is also GREAT to find that the record plays as STUNNINGLY as the visual!!!!  The record plays with NO nasty loud pops, barely ANY clicks AT ALL, NO sticking, NO jumps, and barely ANY crackle AT ALL!!!!  The sound quality is simply SUPERB with NO distortion and NO groovewear either!!!!  The record must grade Very Good++ if not better!!!!  Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way!!!! I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to!!!! Brillant!!!!  The record comes in its ORIGINAL 1st Press inner sleeve which is in BRILLIANT condition!!!!  The 1st Press 'Robert Stace' Gatefold Cover is in GREAT condition!!!!  The cover has barely ANY edge wear (only the VERY faintest hints of 'touching in'), only some minor 'touching in' to a few small parts of the spine, only slight corner wear (NOT through the colour!), only a few light creases (cover is still VERY flat looking!), only VERY slight rubbing to the cover front, only slight rubbing to the cover back (almost unavoidable on this cover!), and NO writing!!!!  The opening edges are beautifully straight with NO feathering!!!!  Even the inside of the cover is in BRILLIANT condition with NO yellowing, NO grubbyness, NO ringwear, barely ANY rubbing AT ALL, and NO writing!!!!  The cover must grade Very Good (PROPERLY graded, NOT trashed!) if not better!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO LOCATE - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS INCREDIBLE OPPORTUNITY!!!!
