Taking their name from a newspaper quote about the Sex Pistols' "God Save the Queen," They Must Be Russians were an irreverent post-punk band from Sheffield, England. The group initially consisted of Russ Russian (vocals and guitar), Paul Russian (vocals and guitar), Carl (bass), and Brendan (effects). With production help from their local friends in Cabaret Voltaire, They debuted with the Nellie the Elephant EP in mid-1979. Another single, Don't Try to Cure Yourself, was released on Fresh over a year later. A self-titled full-length was released by First Floor in 1983, and the LP Groundless Accusations was issued through Native in 1985. They also featured on the legendary 'Hicks From The Sticks' Post Punk comp LP.

COMBINED POSTAGE FOR DIFFERENT FORMATS will be invoiced at my discretion:
While I am happy to combine (for example) one or two 7” singles into one package with 12” records, sometimes it isn’t practical (like if you want me to combine one 12” record with three or more 7” records). I do not think that these combinations can be packaged together safely and securely. Therefore these will be invoiced separately as two packages.

I am sorry to have to introduce these measures – I always try to be patient and allow buyers to bid on extra auctions and / or delay payment. Unfortunately some buyers have been stretching out transactions to unacceptable lengths so I have no option but to limit 'carried over' transactions to two weeks.
