Description
Available here is a 12" vinyl LP - Themes - Drama Suite Part 1, featuring music and compositions by Alan Tew. It was issued in the UK by Themes International Music Limited in 1976 and it has the catalogue number TIM No. 1024.
Record Condition - Very Good - The record is relatively bright and clean, but bears a few light surface marks but no worrying scratches. Having listened to both sides, I can confirm that it plays well - towards the end of the first track there is a buzz or partial jump but otherwise no other jumping or sticking. However, occasional clicks will be heard along with a little background crackle, most noticeable during the quieter moments and track breaks.
Sleeve Condition - Very Good - Unfortunately, the record is no longer in possession of its original outer picture sleeve. It has a plain black die-cut replacement, with light wear. Large pictures of both sides of the disc and sleeve are available on request.
History - Something of a rarity, this is an album of library sample music, which was produced as potential backing music for film and television. Definitely flavoured for the crime/thriller scenario, the first few tracks sound very familiar and were probably used for some 70s programme which now escapes me. Think The Sweeney or The Professionals are you’re pretty close. Despite its origin and purpose, the music is surprisingly accessible and this is deservedly a collectible period piece. This is just one of three rare and collectible library theme music records that I have at auction. Win more than one and there should be some form of saving on the postage/combined mailing.

If possible I use good clean recyclable material but I also buy bubble wrap, brown paper, packing tape and glue and all items are well wrapped and protected before posting.
