THELONIOUS MONK-THELONIOUS IN ACTION: RECORDED AT THE FIVE SPOT CAFE 1958 RIVERSIDE RECORDS MONO COPY LP RLP 12-262 IN A SOLID VG(cover)-EXC. VG+ CONDITION. MOSTLY CLEAN VINYL!! 7 tracks of jazz piano brilliance in this auction. Monk was in fine form the night of this recording and when you have Johnny Griffin on the tenor sax playing along with your muse, you know it's going to be a stellar night of music. All fans of the legendary jazz pianist or the genre need this one in their collection, it's an essential!!
The record is in an easy VG+ condition with just a very light scuff on side 1 that definitely does not hamper play at all, plays well throughout. The cover has minor wear along the edges, minor rubs on the corners and yellowing / aging front and back. Also on the back is a very small patch at the top that has sticker residue. The original inner sleeve is fragile but is still intact. A fantastic buy!!
