Thelonious Monk Quintet -- 5 By Monk By 5 LP
1959 US mono release on Riverside Records (catalog # RLP 12-305, blue labels with reel and microphone logo, deep groove, matrix #'s RLP 12 305 A / RLP 12 305 B with "AB" in both run-out grooves).With Thad Jones on cornet, Charlie Rouse on tenor sax, Sam Jones on bass, Art Taylor on drums. An early mono deep groove pressing but not a first pressing since labels have "Inc."
CONDITION: Cover VG++ / Vinyl VG+ cover is in excellent shape, light general wear, seams and spine all intact; vinyl is excellent, strong VG+, has light wear and a number of very light surface scratches are visible but they do not affect play much if at all, plays very well with only minimal occasional surface noise. Graded conservatively using Goldmine standards [G / G+ / VG / VG+ / NM / ]grade only used if record is brand new.
