THE ZOMBIES-------ODESSEY AND ORACLE----VERALUM MUSIC 1968 ON CBS RECORDS.
During a recent clearance of a relatives property
approximately575 vinyl records were found stored in a dry insulated loft space.
The vinyl spans the decades from the 1950’s to the mid 1990’s, the earlier, decades have been in storage since 1975, the later decades since 2006.
I’m informed that although a good percentage of the records are of little value, there are some fairly rare items, having been in storage for up to 48 years most sleeves vary in condition and the majority have that slight “old paperback” odour as they were never put in plastic sleeves, but a lot of the vinyl looks in very good condition.
I’ve been asked to deal with selling these records and intend to start the majority of the auctions @ .99p to see if there’s any real interest, if not they’ll go to a dealer.
I’ve borrowed an Akai AP-M640 turntable, Mission Cyrus 1 amp and NAD 801speakers
to try them out.
I’ll be as honest as I can about what’s on offer but if you have any specific queries, please message me, I’ve noticed quite a few records have a slight warp, so all records will be listed as slight warp, whether they are or not.

ALL TRACKS PLAY WELL THERE IS SOME CRACKLE NOISE BETWEEN TRACKS AND POSSIBLY IN ONE TRACK OF SOLO VOICE AND PIANO BUT THAT CAN BE FORGIVEN IN MY OPINION DUE TO THE OPEN, RICH TONES AND IMMERSIVE SOUND. IT MAKES ME REALISE WHY PEOPLE STILL PREFER VINYL TO CD INNER SLEEVE IN GOOD CONDITION VINYL APPEARS NICE AND SHINY

UNFORTUNATELY THIS ALBUM HAS LOST IT’S OUTER COVER THE ALBUM IS IN A GRUBBY CARD STOCK SLEEVE THAT PREVIOUSLY HAD ELLA FITZGERALD RESIDING IN IT
SIDE 2. SEE PICTURES THERE IS A SCRATCH MARK VIRTUALLY ACROSS THE FIRST TRACK WHICH “SHOULD”, CRACK, BANG AND SKIP BY THE LOOK OF IT BUT IT DOESN’T ON THE RECORD PLAYER I'M USING, MUST BE MORE A BRUISE THAN A SCRATCH AND IT “DOES” HAVE A SLIGHT WARP
MAYBE A GOOD ULTRASONIC CLEANING WOULD CORRECT A LOT OF THESE ISSUES
IF THERE’S SOMEONE OUT THERE THAT HAS AN ORIGINAL 1968 COVER AND NO VINYL, THIS MIGHT BE THE ONE FOR YOU STARTING AT .99
All vinyls will be despatched in Music Max Mailers with corrugated fillers where necessary for one vinyl. The delivery will be UK small parcel signed for with compensation, costing £4.69 for up to 3 records the maximum that the Mailer can hold.
