STEREO 1968 USA 1st PRESSING DATE RECORDS TES 4013
Machine Stamped Etched in Run out Side 1 XSM137383-1A & Side 2 XSM137384-1A
In 2012 Rolling Stone magazine placed Odessey & Oracle at #100 in its "500 Greatest Albums of All Time"list.
Odessey and Oracle was released in the UK on April 19, 1968 and in the United States in June. American CBS/Columbia decided not to release the album. However, at the urging of staff producer Al Kooper (The organ player on Bob Dylan’s Classic “Like a Rolling Stone”) they were eventually persuaded to release the album on their small Date Records subsidiary label. Al Kooper ended up writing the liner notes for the US release.
Record in Very Good Condition (Record Collector Magazine Grading ). It has been in storage & not played for nearly 30 years. However I recently played the album & it plays very well with no skips etc.
Album cover although itself is in good condition the top bottom & side edges are worn & with a very small split on the top edge. Unfortunately there are also various biro squiggles & signatures several on the front & quite a few more on the back. As they are quite faint they do not show up on the photos but they are there!
Vinyl Records to be posted will be removed from their outside sleeve and placed between two cardboard stiffeners which will be then taped together and placed inside a cardboard record mailer box.
