Rare original promo copy of the 1974 self-titled Wild Magnolias LP on Polydor PD-6026. Amazing New Orleans Gris-Gris / Mardi Gras funk of the highest order. Features the classic Smoke my Peace Pipe, and the New Orleans staple Two Way Pak E Way, later famously covered by the Grateful Dead as Hey Pocky Way. Here’s the version they originally copied. Anyhow this is a rare promo copy with a small promo slit in the lower right of the cover, and including a rare promo-only insert, as well as the usual lyric insert that is in all copies. The insert has suggested cuts for airplay and a brief description of the band and their music. Rare! The disc is very nearly perfectly mint and plays absolutely flawlessly and just gloriously. There is maybe one very light superficial scuff but barely. A top disc. The cover only has slight corner wear and very faint ring wear. Really clean and crisp otherwise. This is truly a top, beautiful promo copy, just about impossible to beat.
