Description

  • The Who released their seventh studio album "The Who By Numbers" in October 1975 on MCA Records. "Squeeze Box" and "Slip Kid" were hit singles from the Glyn Johns produced album. The original cover artwork was done by John Entwistle.

  • This copy (MCA-2161) is from the first pressing and is in excellent condition. The cover still has most of its original factory shrink wrap and easily grades VG+. Please see the pictures. The disc test plays cleanly and is also VG+ which is as high as I go on vintage vinyl. It was mastered by Doug Sachs at The Mastering Lab in Los Angeles and was pressed at the MCA Records plant in Pinckneyville, Illinois. The dead wax on Side 1 is etched MCA 850-W3 and is stamped TML-M ?-P-? ||||.

  • In addition to its original packaging, this album will come with a high quality Anti-Static Round Bottom Inner Sleeve to hold the vinyl disc and a sturdy 3 mil. polyethylene Archival Quality Outer Sleeve.

  • Free shipping is included in the special corrugated album mailer seen in the last picture.

  • This vintage 12" vinyl album has been sitting upright on a shelf in climate controlled storage for the past 45 years. It has not been played in decades other than a quick test spin for this sale which found no skips or obvious flaws. Like all used records it should be cleaned and wiped with an anti-static brush to minimize the occasional pops that are part of playing vinyl albums. Buyers should note that this is a well-cared for but used record and it will have some minor imperfections.
