How can you tell this is a genuine rare 1st UK Pressing?
1. Matt black textured labels.
2. 2408 102 DELUXE catalogue number.
3. Matrix numbers 2408 102 - A -1/2408 102 - B – 2
4. "MacNeil Press" 1st issue cover. In among the clouds in the top left corner of the front cover is the telltale 'DL 33789' code. Only first pressing covers had this code.
5. Heavyweight vinyl with deep wide grooves and a thick edge on the outside rims.
6. Side1 has 'MG 12888' in the deadwax - indicating that the pressing came directly from the Mater Tapes - and is therefore highly sought after by Who collectors because of its awesome sound. There is no mention of 'Bilbo' on either side of the deadwax which demonstrates that it a genuine 1st pressing. (Pressings with 'Bilbo' in the deadwax indicate that they are later pressings dubbed from copies rather than Mater Tapes.)
COVER: Near Mint. Unlaminated 1st pressing MacNeill cover. Stunning.

Mint - The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality.
Excellent - The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality.
Very Good - The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch.
Good - The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches.
Fair - The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise, it may even jump.
Poor - The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc
Bad - The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler.
