RARITY:- This LP is now very VERY hard to find. It is VERY sought after as it has a slightly different cover to UK 1st Pressings, and It was never released in this format in UK, and therefore is essential to own. It is also worth noting that South African 1st Pressings NEVER had an Booklet! AND FOR ONCE IT IS A 100% GENIUNE 1ST PRESSING - AND NOT THE 'CHEAPO' LIVE AT LEEDS STYLE RE-ISSUE! For some reason I have never understood - people seem to pay a lot for the later South African re-issue 'Live At Leeds' type version of this Double LP - when it was actually a cheap knock off and made 4 or 5 years after release! Essentially Polydor in South Africa simply couldn't be bothered to go to the expense of making a Laminated 1st Press cover - so they knocked up a cheap plain Gatefold in the style of 'Live At Leeds' instead! BUT THIS ONE IS THE 100% GENIUNE SOUTH AFRICAN 1ST PRESSING AND VERY RARE INDEED!
A WORD ABOUT SOUTH AFRICAN / RHODESIAN / ZIMBABWE 1ST PRESSINGS AND WHY THEY ARE SO RARE:- It is VERY important to explain the sheer rarity of South African / Rhodesian / Zimbabwe 1st Pressings today. Firstly South Africa. From 1990 onwards South Africa has had a very volatile existence, with many people emigrating / moving / losing homes etc. Thus many MANY records were destroyed / damaged / lost over the years. And even copies that do come out of South Africa today are often in VERY poor condition. Plus only a VERY few copies were sold in the first place - compared to UK/U.S. markets. Rhodesia / Zimbabwe is far FAR worse. Only TINY amounts were sold here in the first place, and hardly ANY records of Western Music still exist in Zimbabwe today! So the chances of anything 'new to the market' coming out of that country is highly remote. Nearly all records were destroyed. So it is very VERY hard indeed to find ANY copies in top condition from South Africa / Rhodesia / Zimbabwe - as barely ANY are left in existence today!!!! HOWEVER THE ONE PREVIOUS OWNER OF LP EMIGRATED FROM SOUTH AFRICA TO THE UK IN 1991. HE KEPT HIS LPs IN SUPERB CONDITION AND TOOK THEM WITH HIM, CAREFULLY TRANSPORTED IN 1991. THIS IS JUST 1 LP FROM THAT HUGE COLLECTION - WHICH WERE ALL SOUTH AFRICAN / RHODESIAN / ZIMBABWE 1ST PRESSINGS!!!! MANY ARE STILL IN THEIR ORIGINAL 'SHRINKWRAP' AND ALMOST ALL ARE STUNNING CONDITION!!!! THIS IS JUST 1 LP FROM THIS AMAZING COLLECTION - SO PLEASE READ ON BELOW:-

RECORD GRADING:- The records are very VERY strictly graded at VG towards VG+ (Graded directly under a 150 watt bulb!) and are VERY bright & shiny looking indeed! And most I am certain would grade even higher still! Both records have NO scratches, only a few VERY light hairlines, 2 or 3 surface traces, and only a VERY few of the lightest paper scuffs only visible under light! The records play with NO pops, barely ANY clicks, NO jumps, NO sticks, and barely ANY crackle AT ALL! Generally a very VERY nice set of records indeed!
