Description

On offer here is a very rare LP (especially in this condition!!!!) by The Who called 'Tommy' and is a MASSIVELY rare 1969 Stereo 1st Pressing on 1st Press Track label!!!! THIS IS A MEGA RARE LP - AND IS VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND AS A 1ST PRESSING!!!!  1ST PRESSINGS OF THIS DOUBLE LP ARE VERY DIFFERENT TO LATER PRESSINGS!!!!  THESE 1ST PRESSINGS WERE ONLY EVER PRESSED FOR A VERY SMALL AMOUNT OF TIME - AND FINDING A GENIUNE 1969 1ST PRESSING THESE DAYS IS VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE!!!!  HERE ARE THE VERY IMPORTANT DIFFERENCES BETWEEN A 1ST PRESSING AND LATER PRESSINGS.  THIS MEGA RARE 1969 1ST PRESSING HAS A LAMINATED 'FOLD OUT' GATEFOLD COVER (LATER ONES ARE UNLAMINATED), A NUMBERED BOOKLET (LATER ONES ARE UNNUMBERED), 1ST PRESS TRACK LABELS WITH 'DOUBLE ALBUM' TEXT (LATER ONES ARE DIFFERENT), AND THE 1ST PRESS 613 013/4 TRACK CAT NUMBER ON THE COVER, THE RECORD LABELS AND THE MATRIXES (LATER ONES HAVE DIFFERENT NUMBERS ON THE COVERS, LABELS AND MATRIXES).  NOT ONLY THAT BUT THIS IS THE VERY 1ST PRESSING WITH A//1 B//1 A//1 B//1 MATRIXES ON EACH SIDE OF THE RECORDS!!!!   BUT WHAT MAKES THIS LP ONE OF THE VERY EARLIEST 1ST PRESSINGS IS THAT THE COVER IS MADE BY 'E.J.DAY' AND HAS THE ALL IMPORTANT 'PATENTS PENDING' TEXT (LATER ONES DO NOT HAVE THIS)!!!!  THIS LP IS EXTREMELY HARD TO FIND AS A 1969 1ST PRESSING - AND RARER STILL IN THIS CONDITION!!!!  SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS MEGA RARE OPPORTUNITY!!!! This is the ORIGINAL Track Stereo 1st pressing from 1969 and is in BRILLIANT condition!!!! The records are pressed on THICK quality vinyl. The Cat. No is 613 013/4 on the ORIGINAL 1st Press Track labels (see picture) and is a UK Stereo 1st Pressing!!!! All the tracks are pure quality Who at their best!!!! Any fan of The Who, or 60s music in general, will want to have this in their collection!!!!

The record labels on BOTH records are in STUNNING condition (see pictures) with NO wear, NO writing, and only a few light spindle marks!!!! The vinyl is in BRILLIANT condition!!!! Most of these 60s LPs had been to a lot of wild parties and are usually found totally worn out, and almost unplayable. This one is NOT and Record 1 has NO scratches, NO hairlines, and only a VERY few of the lightest paper scuffs only visible under light!!!! Record 1 must visually grade Excellent+ if not better!!!!  Record 2 has NO scratches, NO hairlines, 2 MEGA light scufflines, only 2 or 3 of the VERY LIGHTEST wispy scufflines only visible under light and only a VERY few of the lightest paper scuffs only visible under light!!!! Record 2 must visually grade Excellent(Minus)!!!! ITS AS SIMPLE AS THAT!!!!  BOTH RECORDS STILL RETAIN THEIR ORIGINAL 'JUST PRESSED' LOOK!!!! It is great to find that the records play as STUNNINGLY as the visual with NO pops, NO sticking, NO jumps, NO hiss and NO crackle!!!! There is NO distortion and NO groovewear either!!!!  The records overall must grade Excellent (Minus) if not FULL Excellent!!!! Believe me these records are NOT overgraded in ANY way!!!! I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to!!!! Brillant!!!! The records also come in their ORIGINAL inners!!!! THE MEGA RARE 'NUMBERED' BOOKLET IS IN BRILLIANT CONDITION AND IS VERY FLAT LOOKING!!!!  The 1st Press LAMINATED E.J.Day 'Patents Pending' Gatefold 'Fold Out' Cover is in BRILLIANT condition - and it looks AMAZING as a LAMINATED 1st Press!!!! It has NO edge wear, NO spinal wear (apart from some very VERY minor laminate ONLY wear in a VERY few places - NOT through the colour, and VERY hard to see), only slight corner wear (NOT through the colour), only a VERY few light creases (cover is VERY flat looking), VERY shiny laminate and NO writing!!!! There is also a VERY slight laminate lift along the spinal edge (though this is VERY difficult to see - as the laminate hasnt lifted much AT ALL) - where the spine has been slightly flattened (but NOT worn) through storage. The opening edges are beautifully straight with NO feathering!!!! Even the inside is in STUNNING condition with NO writing, NO grubbyness, NO rubbing and NO yellowing!!!! The inside record 'pouches' are in STUNNING condition with NO rubbing, NO ringwear, and only a TINY creaseline in one corner.  This is a BRILLIANT conditioned cover and must grade Very Good++++ if not better!!!!  THIS LP IS IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND AS A 1ST PRESSING - AND EVEN RARER IN THIS CONDITION - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS MEGA RARE OPPORTUNITY!!!!

HAVE A LOOK AT MY PICTURES - I DO MY BEST TO SHOW THE RECORD FROM ALL ANGLES AND MAKE THE PICTURES AS CLEAR AS POSSIBLE - THERE IS NOTHING TO HIDE!!!! It really is a GREAT looking LP and it is truly rare to find any copies of this MEGA RARE LP!!!! THIS WILL BE YOUR ONLY CHANCE TO BUY A 1969 STEREO 1ST PRESSING OF "TOMMY" BY THE WHO, IN STUNNING CONDITION!!!! Have a look at all my other auctions including other TOP LPs and contact me with any queries you may have. P&P £3 in the UK, Overseas TBA. Paypal, Cash, Cheques, and Post Orders accepted.
