Description
The Who-Tommy 2LP UK original 1st pressing of their classic double album from 1969.Track 613 013/014 in original fold-out glossy gatefold sleeve with numbered booklet.
First issue with A1B1 matrix on both discs.(All 4 sides, whereas a lot have A2 on at least one)
The cover looks great and the front cover is really fine.However when opened out one can see the spine (and near surrounds) have had a big restoration job done.Actually done
quite nicely.Otherwisebar a few blemishes its fine.Hard to grade as it looks good now but it has had the spine work done so I would say VG is about fair overall.
Twelve paged booklet No.49767 is as new, bar some kind of name written in the top right hand corner of the back page.
Both discs are in nice condition.In ordinary light they look really good-only under artificial light can one see a good few marks but these are all minor and not bad
enough to affect the sound hence why they are not visible normally.One of the records labels has a fair bit of spindle play though faint as always-the other hardly any.
Overall records grade VG+/EX-.
This is a nice complete very first UK pressing of Tommy-a restored spinal area and some light marks on the discs, but generally everything is in a pretty good state and
finding these very first issues any better is not so easy at all.This is a very decent copy of this original UK issue.
